Value of Volunteering Webinar

The Sports Union is hosting an online Webinar on Tuesday 9th February at 12pm to highlight the value of volunteering and the exciting opportunities that it can create.

We are delighted to have a panel of accomplished Heriot-Watt University alumni who will chat through their experiences, career highlights and their time at Heriot-Watt, with our host Ross Campbell, Executive Director of Oriam.

  • Mike Tumility (Former Professional Football Referee and Global Chief Operating Officer at Standard Life Aberdeen)
  • Ross Simpson (Assistant Director and Head of Sport at the University of Edinburgh)
  • Katy Macgregor (Events Manager at the Hydro, current HWU netball coach)
  • Amber Taylor (Current Sports Union President)

This event is free-of-charge and open to all, so please join us from what promises to be a lively and interesting discussion on the benefits of becoming a volunteer.

We’re also delighted to say that anyone can run for a Sports Union Club Committee postition in 21/22, even if you’re not a current club member, so come along and get inspired!

Please visit our event page to find out more information and register for the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
