Course: MA (Hons) International Business Management with Economics, 2nd year

How did you get into your sport?

From a young age, I always loved sport, playing rugby and football regularly. When I was about six years old my friends started doing judo; I went along with them one day, loved it, and have stuck with it ever since.

What are the best and most challenging things about your sport?

The best thing about judo is how challenging it is. There is always room for growth and improvement which keeps it interesting. We’re also very lucky that we are able to travel all over the world to train and compete. This has allowed me to see places and meet people that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do otherwise.

What have been your biggest achievements to date?

Winning multiple Scottish titles and British Championship medals, as well as being part of both the Scottish and British teams.

What are your goals in your sport?

Due to Covid-19 in the short term, the goal is to stay ready and put myself in the best position possible for when we are able to start competing again. In the long term I would love to medal at major international events.

What do you do to relax when you’re not training or competing?

I love to socialise with my friends and travel.
