Watt is Futsal?

Futsal is recognised as FIFA’s official indoor football game and is a fast paced five-a-side game with played with a smaller harder ball than traditional football. Our club started in September 2019 and is one of the newest clubs in the Sports Union.

Competitions

We have two men’s teams competing in BUCS with the 1s competing in The Scottish Teir 1 and hoping to regain the title and push into the National Leagues and our 2s hoping to bounce back after being relegated into Scottish Teir 2 where they won all their games last time they were in it. The club also hosts recreational sessions where people of all skill are welcome to come and play with enjoyment being the focus of these sessions.

Training

Our coach led team training sessions are invite only, with trials taking place at the start of each semester. These sessions involve a short warm-up followed by drills and usually some matches to finish off.

Our recreational sessions are very popular, where we go straight into games that are open for players of all ability. We welcome people who have never played before to get involved. Some of our players come for the fun as well as the fitness.
