Watt is Mountaineering?
Mountaineering covers everything from hill walking and adventurous hiking to scaling the highest mountains, steepest cliffs and everything in between.
We run either a weekend bothy trip or a day trip every weekend across both semesters giving our members access to some of the best walking and rock climbing in the UK. Climbing sessions are ran every Thursday evening at EICA Ratho with informal training sessions at other times during the week. We also have a weekly social where our members get together for nights out, games and chilled activities!
Competitions
By joining the Mountaineering Club you have the chance to represent the University at the BUCS Nationals Climbing Competition.
