How did you get into your sport?

I have always loved sport and tried many different ones such as mountain biking, judo, skiing and climbing. Still all of which I love but hockey has taken over. I started playing hockey as an outfielder at school aged 8/9 yrs then went in goals and have kept playing in that position ever since!

What are the best and most challenging things about your sport?

I love playing hockey because it is constantly challenging and I have met so many people through it. Hockey has opened many doors for me and has showed me a passion for coaching and helping the younger generation of goalkeepers to reach their potential.

What have been your biggest achievements to date?

I have played for Scotland several times but my best memory was competing at Futures Cup when I was 17 as it was my first opportunity to play in a match with the squad. We came 2nd and I couldn’t have been happier.

What are your goals in your sport?

I would hope to be chosen to play for the the senior squad and continue to train and play within the national setup. During Covid it has been very difficult to progress, as there has been no training for over 18s, but I have been able to give something back to the sport by doing a lot of coaching.

What do you do to relax when you’re not training or competing?

When not playing sport or doing uni work I like to bake cakes and look after my fish, dog and cat.

Who is your sporting icon, and why?

I have been inspired by Martijn Drijver. I have attended specific goalie camps he runs in the Netherlands and found his coaching style great. He played Dutch national hockey and now pursues an very successful career in coaching some of the top goalkeepers in the world.
