How did you get into your sport?

I tried a few sports before I started judo. My dad used to do judo when he was young and he took me along to a class when I was young.

What are the best and most challenging things about your sport?

The best thing about judo is the feeling you get when you perform at your best and win a fight. The most frustrating thing is when you are up against a strong opponent and struggle to stand up against them.

What have been your biggest achievements to date?

One of my proudest achievements was getting the chance to compete at the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2017. Another is making it onto the SIS supported Scottish Performance Potential Squad.

What are your goals in your sport?

Short term, to work towards national medals and compete internationally to gain more experience. Long term, to be able to medal on the international stage at senior level.

What do you do to relax when you’re not training or competing?

I like to socialise and meet up with my friends.

Who is your sporting icon, and why?

Chris Hoy because of his single-minded determination to succeed.
