We are very proud to announce that we didn’t only surpass last years total but we doubled it!

We want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who donated to our campaign and to all of our Sports Union members for getting involved. The effort was phenomenal. Through funky crumb catchers, thousands of KM of exercise, some astonishing challenges (mankinis and frosted tips..) and Stewart’s Auction we are so proud to have raised a grand total of £34,375 for Movember.

11 out of our 32 sports clubs managed to hit £1000 or over which is amazing for the remote environment we are in right now. This really shows what the community is like at the Sports Union.

More good news followed as Movember ended with Heriot-Watt ending up twentieth overall as an University in the Movember Leaderboard. We were the third highest University to have each member in our Movember campaign to be raising an average of £143 per member. This is unreal work as we were up there with Universities such as Exeter and Oxford who are so much bigger.

Special shoutout to Stewart Morgan who led our Movember campaign as our Representative and he done a smashing job. Without his personality and determination for the cause we wouldn’t have got this far. He was also the third highest raising student which is well deserved!
