Heriot-Watt University Sports Union are recruiting support staff and coaches in a number of paid and voluntary roles within our clubs.

Heriot-Watt Sports Union is the student-focused organisation that provides sport and exercise opportunities for Heriot-Watt students based at the world class facilities within Oriam, shared with some of the best athletes in the country.

Sports Union Administrator

Grade and Salary: Grade 4 (£23,581-£26,038)

FTE and working pattern: 35 hours (1FTE), Full-time, permanent

The Sports Union Administrator executes administrative tasks including executing and recording financial transactions, completing administrative tasks imperative to the operation of the business and delivery of the SU’s large social events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all team and individual event entries
  • Book all internal and external facilities for training and matches.
  • Lead on all facility programming of SU activities.
  • Lead on all club fixtures arrangements and support clubs with related administration including squad management and results (including BUCS, SSS Leagues & Cups and other rec leagues).
  • Work with SUP in the promotion of results, student representation, scholar successes.

Skills & Responsibilities

Essential

  • Experience and competency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and other IT programmes.
  • Experience of sports administration.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills to adapt to a fast paced working environment.
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to work flexible and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Display a positive and approachable nature, demonstrate a commitment to personal and organisational improvement and a passion for sport.


Supporting Roles

Matchday physio

Heriot-Watt Sports Union are looking for matchday physio/ sports first aiders to support our teams for Wednesday afternoon BUCS fixtures and some weekend activity. 

We can provide remuneration and/or support with student practical hours if applicable. Kit and travel can be provided for home and away matches.
