Watt is Ultimate Frisbee?
Whether you are looking to meet some new people, start a new sport at university or find a club with great socials, the Ultimate Frisbee Club has something for you.
Ultimate Frisbee is a sport that most people start at university age, so if you’ve never thrown a frisbee in your life, come along to try something new and know you won’t be alone as most people join us as complete beginners. Even if you’ve been playing for years, come and check out our club, we have lots to offer.
Ultimate Frisbee is a team sport that can be played with mixed, men’s or women’s teams. The goal is to score as many points as possible by catching the disk in the end-zone. This is done by applying different strategies that involve each team member to try and beat the opposing team.
Recreational and competitive levels of play are available to all. Ultimate has been running in the Sports Union for multiple years now, and we are open for any student to come along and try the sport regardless of experience.
The aim of our club is to provide an opportunity for any student to participate in a regular form of ultimate frisbee appropriate to their desire and ability and for members to gain a worthwhile social experience through the sport. Our ultimate goal is to just ensure our members are happy, having fun and improving.
