How did you get into your sport?

I started Taekwondo when I was four years old, when my mum took me to my local club as she thought it’d be good to try out different sports. I’ve never stopped since then!

What are the best and most challenging things about your sport?

The sport of ITF Taekwondo is very similar to kickboxing, in that we’re allowed to kick and punch, unlike the style of Taekwondo you see in the olympics. The most challenging aspect of my sport is in competition trying to stick to plan after being hit in the face!

What have been your biggest achievements to date?

My achievements in the Taekwondo so far are competing and representing my Club as team Scotland in the ITFU World Championships in Sardinia where I came back with bronze medals.

What are your goals in your sport?

During Covid I decided that my goals should not be about achieving a certain medal in a competition, as there were no competitions running. My new goals in Taekwondo are to become the best and most disciplined fighter I can be, and make the most out of each of my training sessions.

What do you do to relax when you’re not training or competing?

When I’m not training or competing I love going out mountain biking, as it keeps me active but is really fun.

Who is your sporting icon, and why?

My sporting icon is Anthony Joshua, as he’s a champion for people and after every loss he comes back stronger and shows everyone that defeat is not the end.
